I love butter naan a lot especially when taken with paneer butter masala.This is my all time favourite combo every time I visit a restuarant…I like the fluffy and soft naans with molten butter over them..So I have learnt this recipe of butter naan very quickly..They are so easy to make at home and we can still enjoy the restaurant style taste..
What you need:
Maida/All Purpose Flour – 1 cup
Yeast – 2tbsp
Sugar – 1tbsp
Salt a pinch
Baking powder – pinch
Milk – 2- 3 tbsp
Butter – to spread on naans
How I Made:
Mix yeast in warm water.Rest for five minuts or till the yeast bubbles up.
Mix salt,flour and baking powder,sugar
Make a well in the centre and our the yeast water.Knead well into a soft dough.
Coat the dough with milk and brush some oil over it.
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and rest it for 1 hour.
Now the dough rises to almost double the original size.
Knock out the air inside it and knead it well again.
Make equal balls and roll into your desired shapes.
I like oval shape for butter naans 🙂
Heat a tawa and roast the naans till golden brown on both sides.
After taking on to a plate,add a piece of butter over it..It will spread ..I just love this aroma:)
Alternatively you could even bake them in oven..
