Simple Bhelpuri | Kids Recipes | Healthy Recipes

August 7, 2012 by Siri

Bhelpuri  is a savoury Indian snack, that is highly consumed through out the country… It is made out of puffed rice, vegetables and a tangy tamarind sauce.. A dry variant of Bhelpuri popularly known as Bhadang is consumed after garnishing with onions, coriander and lemon juice.Though this is a popular chat variety..It has got very health flavours as we dont use a single drop of oil in this..Also we can add any vegetables that we want to make it nutrient rich.Puffed rice has little content of carbohydrates in it so you can gulp it with no guilt..Its a very light weight food too..People who are health conscious
can avoid tamarind sauce and sev that we sprinkle on it..
It is very simple to prepare and kids like it a lot too..And this will be my dinner on my busy week days sometimes..as it can be prepared in just 5 minutes of time!

What you Need:
Puffed Rice or Rice Snaps – 1 Cup
Tomatoes Finely Chopped -1
Onions finely chopped – 1
Grated Carrot – 2 tbsp

Chat Masala – 1/2 tbsp
Amchur Powder – 1/2 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/4 tbsp
Roasted Ground nuts – 1 tbsp(Optional)

Lemon Jiuce – 1 tbsp
Heat a pan and roast the puffed rice for 1 minute on low flame.
Add the vegetables, nuts and all spice powders and mix well.Mix the lemon juice.
Sprinkle lots of coriander…
Chop up all your veggies
