Chocolate Loaf Cake | Milk Chocolate Cake

February 21, 2013 by Siri

Chocolate Cake is one of my non favorite things ..I don’t like anything that is chocolaty..but as a food blogger I can’t omit this lovable ingredient which is loved by the entire world.and hence trying my level best to post some chocolate goods..Chocolate Cake is so simple and easy to make at home..It is so light as you know much sugar and chocolate goes into your cake..

Actually this was my attempt to make chocolate brownies but they turned out to be moist chocolate cakes..gals pls teach me how to make brownies..Actually this recipe was for brownie I think.. πŸ˜›

Makes 10 slices Takes 45 min

INGREDIENTS:
  1. Chocolate Chips – 75 gms or 1/2 cup
  2. Butter – 75 gms
  3. White Flour – 3/4 cup
  4. Vanilla Essence – 2 tbsp
  5. Eggs -2
  6. Powdered sugar – 50 gms

METHOD:
Pre-heat your oven to 170 degrees centrigrade.
I used both milk white and dark chocolate chips as per my convenience. You go ahead and replace with whatever type you need.Take the softened butter into a mixing bowl and microwave it for few seconds.Alternatively you could use double boiler method on stove top to melt the butter.

Drop in your chocolate chips and give it a good mix with spoon such that they get melted in hot butter.Else keep it in microwave for few seconds again.Mix it well. Then add one egg at a time and beat well.

Tip in the flour and fold he batter slowly such that the flour gets blended  well with other ingredients. You don’t need to beat it well as no need of air to get incorporated.Line up a baking loaf tin with baking paper and pour in the batter.Tap the tin on the kitchen top to make the batter well adjusted.Bake it till brown and mine took around solid 35 minutes.

Allow to cool the cake on a wire rack ..Slice it up and then yummy moist and light fluffy chocolate cake is ready to serve!!

NOTES:

  1. You don’t need any baking powder as I did not want the cake to be puffed up.
  2. Can use cocoa powder instead of chocolate chips.
  3. Use unsalted butter to get nice taste.
