Kiwi Mint Punch | Kiwifruit Juice | Cold Beverages

April 17, 2013 by Siri

Kiwifruit is shortly called as Kiwi and belongs to berry family. Though it skin looks rough and hairy the bright greeny soft flesh inside gives your tongue a tangy and refreshing feel. Also the seeds need not be discarded and can be consumed along with the fruit. This kiwi fruit is sweet, tangy with a unique flavor in it.I heard it is the national fruit of China but really not sure thoughJWhile this fruit is widely used for raw consumption it is also used as topping for salads, meat, pudding and cakes as well. I tasted this excellent fruit only after moving to London and I feel lot of people are unknown about this tiny little sweet fruit. I started my weight loss journey recently and this fruit helps me a lot in filling my stomach for dinner with less calories. It is also rich in C vitamin and is also considered as a good anti-aging factorJAs these kiwi fruits are rich in fibre content ,they naturally helps in fighting against Diabetes.I agree that this is on a bit tangy side, but I often consume this with strawberries. This time I made a kiwifruit punch my mixing with little mint juice and lemon. Believe me this combination worked like heaven and we totally enjoyed it.This vibrant color makes your party table very colorful and healthy. Addition of  mint and lemon gives this juice a very refreshing taste and often can clean your stomach. Do try it out and let me know.

Many people find it difficult to peel kiwi fruit. But there are lot many tutorials in youtube where you can use simple methods to peel it very neatly. I couldn’t shoot it as I was alone while making this juice so next time I will take a chance probably.
Serves 2; Takes 15 min

Ingredients:
  1. Kiwi Fruit – 3
  2. Lemon juice -3 tbsp
  3. Mint Leaves – 2 tbsp
  4. Sugar – 1 tbsp
  5. Chilled Water as required

Preparation Method:

  • Peel the kiwi fruits and slice them.
  • Wash the mint leaves and take them along with kiwi fruits, sugar into a blender. Grind it to fine paste and add water little by little to form juice consistency.
  • Serve in a glass and add lemon juice,
  •  Chill it in the fridge and serve cold!

Beat the summer heat with this refreshing kiwi mint punch!!
