Fresh Mango Juice | Pulpy Mango Cream| Mango Spread

May 12, 2013 by Siri

Mangoes are one of the yummilicious gifts Nature offers in summer season .This rich pulpy and sweet fruit is a rich source of Vitamin C and calcium and also Vitamin A.Forget about the health benefits of it, no one would want to miss tasting it in the summer season for its sweet and juicy texture. The king has arrived long back into the season but luck favored us only now. Got a dozen of fresh and pulpy desi mangoes after a long time in the local market. Mango fruit is my childhood fantasy..Used to wait till my dad comes home from work. He would buy them in the wholesale market near to his office. Mom used to squeeze out the juice into a big steel bowl and would keep it in neighbour’s fridge (yes we don’t have one until my 3rd standard)..And then see our troubles..no sleep the whole afternoon thinking about the sweet  evening treat. Good old memories to cherish..

This version is a very creamy and smooth one with lots of goodness in it. I haven’t added any extra sugar in it since the sweetness of mango itself is enough. Instead 2 dollops of honey make it all. You can use this mango cream as a topping to any desserts, puddings and also in home-made ice creams. I use this in my read toasts also.. In-fact this isn’t a big recipe to document here but still would like to let you know the goodness of it J

Takes 10 min; Serves 3
INGREDIENTS:
  1. Ripe Mangoes -2
  2. Honey – 3 tbsp
  3. Ice cubes as required

METHOD:

  • Peel the skin of the mango. If the mango is a juicy (rasaalu) variety omit step 2..
  • Cut it into cubes and discard the seed.
  • Blend the mango pieces in a mixer until creamy. If ripen perfectly, squeeze out the juice with your hand and just give one round of blend in mixer.
  • Take it into a bowl and add honey and give good mix.Drop and ice cube and enjoy yhe chilled mango cream!!
Enjoy the goodness of this sweet fruit this summer!

Yummm! This is just amazing! Thanks for sharing this quick mango recipe : ) I will surely try this at home. I have been a big mango fan and I only wish it was available all year long. After trying and tasting all the mango juices in the market, I have found that KDD harvest’s mango juice is one of the best. It tastes exactly like the fruit and I really love this juice. If you love mangoes as much as I do and yearn for them even after the mango season is over, then this is a must try! Thanks for this amazing recipe.. I am tempted to have some mango juice right now!
