Fresh Strawberry Lemonade Recipe | I love my world!

April 14, 2014 by Siri

Yay.. Finally summer is here on a full swing and making me to dig in my wardrobe for very few summer jackets I have. Ahh! the season of minis, capris, sleeveless, chappals, hats, goggles and lots of giggles everywhere. The English Summer is here finally awakening all my spirits! So my weight loss resolutions started(did I say started?) as-usual and my first subtask will be to prepare a food chart as colourful as possible to please my big tummy,So while adding colours I make sure the calories are less by cutting down sugar, fats and preservatives and such.I prefer plenty of liquids to solid foods as they can really keep the tummy light and clean. Also they supply right amounts of moisture to the skin and make it ready to battle with the Sun.My diets includes plenty of fresh fruits(Thanks to London it has g me given me many varieties) and raw vegetables which can actually keep my skin hydrated for hours. What are your summer foods?

This is not a big recipe really but just wanted to inspire you guys and show how quickly(if am then definitely you can )whip up this beautiful and refreshing strawberry lemonade. When you feel like having a coffee, just blend some strawberries along with lime, you will just hang to the refreshing flavours of this drink.so easy to make and tastes divine!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Strawberries – 10
  • Lemon thinly sliceed – 1
  • Ice Cold Water – 2 cups
  • Mint Leaves – 1 tbsp(optional)
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp(if you prefer)
  • Honey- 2 tbsp(if you want to avoid sugar)
  • Ice Cubes(optional)

METHOD:

  1. Wash the fruits and trim the head of the strawberries.Chop them and take into a blender.
  2. Blend till a smooth purée is formed.
  3. Add sugar, lemon slices, mint leaves and water and blend once more for 5  minutes.
  4. Serve it as it is or drop in few ice cubes if you wish.

SIRI’s NOTES:

  1. I usually don’t filter my drink am ok with bits and pieces, you could do that if you want a fancy liquid look like
  2. You could use any kind of berries for this recipe.
  3. This is not suitable for storing and is best consumed fresh.
